So most people resort to means to get back their original skin. The most common problem of the people is the dark spots. They minimize the beauty of the skin. Fortunately the black spots can be lightened or rather cleared from the surface of the skin. The normal glow of the skin will return after they are removed from the skin. - Pregnant women also get dark spots on their skin.
- Due to hormonal imbalances the dark spots appear on the skin.
- Lack of sleep and stress also result in the formation of dark spots. They result in the draining of body nutrition and give a sluggish appearance to the face and form dark circles.
- Loss of vitamins and other essential nutrients also cause dark spots. The part of the skin that does not get any nutrients become swollen and develops dark spots.
Remedies to Get Rid of Dark Spots:
These home remedies are friendly to the skin. In addition to removing the dark spots they also provide good nutrients to the skin. They pose no real harm to the skin.
1. Lemon Juice:
Lemon juice is an excellent home remedy that is readily available in all houses. The acidic nature of the lemon helps to curtail the growth of the bacteria that causes dark spots. It also helps to diminish the spots gradually over time. The lemon is rich in vitamin C that helps to remove dark spots. The mode of application of the lemon juice on the face is squeezing the fruit on cotton and daubing the face with it. The people with sensitive skin must mix lemon juice with honey or rosemary and apply on the skin. Leave it as it is and wash your face after ten minutes. This must be done for a period of a week or ten days to get the desired effects.
2. Buttermilk:
Buttermilk has many properties and provides the skin with many benefits. The buttermilk soothes the skin inflammations and dark spots without causing any burning on the skin. Mix a cup of sour milk or tomato juice and stir them well. Lemon juice must also be added. The mixture can then be applied on the face using cotton. Wash your face after ten minutes. Using milk has also the similar benefits to that of using buttermilk.
3. Oats:
Oats is a good skin enricher. The oats can be mixed with lemon juice and applied on the face. It removes the dead skins and dark spots from the face and the neck when applied. If the oats constricts your face then you should remove the face to clean the mask. This must be done one time in a week.
4. Almonds:
Soak about eight or ten almonds overnight. Peel their skin in the morning. Add a little drop or lemon juice and make it into a paste. Apply it on the face and wash after fifteen minutes. This helps to get a glowing skin.
5. Onion Juice:
It works wonders on the skin. Mix honey and lemon juice with onion juice and apply on the face. Allow it to dry naturally. For those with sensitive skin add a few drops of vinegar to the mis and then apply on the face.
6. Papaya:
Papaya helps to smooth the skin and increase the complexion of the skin. They have papain an enzyme which helps to shed the dead skin cells and helps in the growing of new cells. Apply papaya pulp directly on the face or apply the papaya juice mixed with lemon juice.
7. Aloe vera:
Aloe Vera is a natural dark spot remover. The aloe vera gel can be applied directly on the face. With the fingers gently smear the areas where the dark spots are. Do it two times a day. Wash the face after twenty minutes. If the gel smudges wipe clean with a cloth soaked in water.
8. Turmeric:
It is the most powerful skin lightening agent. Turmeric helps to remove sun spots and age spots. The turmeric paste can be made by mixing turmeric powder with milk, honey and lemon juice. An alternative way of preparing turmeric paste is mixing olive oil and honey. The mis or the paste can then be applied on the face. After a quarter of an hour it can be washed. Repeating this for about twice a day for ten days will completely remove the spots and add a new lustre to the skin.
9. Potato:
The potato can be sliced and applied on the dark spot area and washed after ten minutes. Potato paste can be made by mixing the honey with pieces of shred potato.
10. Sandalwood:
Mix sandalwood powder with honey or water and one spoon of glycerin and rosewater each. Apply it on the face at least once a day till the dark spots vanish.
11. Parsley Seeds:
Parsley seeds can be good food garnishers. The unknown fact is that they are good skin enhancers. They remove the dark spots and provide lustre to the skin. The parsley seeds must be first grinded into powder form and must be mixed with turmeric and honey. It must be then applied in the face twice a week. It must be left as it is for about fifteen minutes on the face and washed with lukewarm. This must be repeated for about a week and must be stopped after the dark spots fade.
12. Apple Cider Vinegar:
Mix the onion juice with apple cider vinegar. It must be applied on the face using a cotton ball. This must be washed away after a quarter of an hour. It produces numerous health benefits to the skin.
13. Pineapple Juice:
Pineapple provides so many benefits to the body. It can clear the skin off dark spots. The pineapple juice can be applied on the face by means of a cotton cloth. It can be then washed after fifteen minutes with cool water for better results.
14. Castor Oil:
It is the most useful oil when it comes to providing the body with nutrients. There are some people who have developed aversion to it. Apply the castor oil on the dark spots on the face and wash aft6er fifteen minutes. It removes the dark spots effectively.
15. Lime Juice:
It is a citrus fruit very rich in citric acid. Apply the juice on the face by means of a plastic cloth. Wash the face after ten minutes. It helps in getting the fair and fresh skin.
16. Chickpeas:
These have numerous benefits to the body. When consumed on a regular basis these can ward off the dark spots and provide lustre to the skin. These chickpeas helps in the growing of new skin cells.
